The early Newmarket Craven meeting set the path for some exciting new prospects for sponsored trainer Hugo Palmer. The obvious highlight being GIFTED MASTER.

The son of Tally Ho’s stand out sire Kodiac expressed relentless talent to fight off another Sirecam graduate WATERLOO BRIDGE (consigned by Glenvale Stud) on day 2 of the meeting by 3 ½ lengths in the £100,000 Tattersalls Millions 3YO Sprint.

COPPER KNIGHT also pleased the eye when finishing mid-div in his debut appearance in the EBF Novice Stakes on day 2.  The son of Sir Prancelot looks a promising type to keep track of for the season.

Day 3 saw John Gosden’s brilliant colt LINGUISTIC (pictured) take the £200,000 Tattersalls Millions 3YO Sprint for Godolphin. The son of Lope De Vega was filmed by Sirecam at Tattersalls Book 1 in 2014 and consigned by Ballylinch Stud.

Sponsored trainer Brian Meehan also had his Dalakhani colt RIDE THE LIGHTNING in the feature Day 3 race, up against some stiff competition on his 2016 debut run. He held his own on tricky ground and looks to have set himself up nicely for the rest of the season.

Further Sirecam graduates of the concluding day included Coolmore’s LANDOFHOPEANDGLORY (High Chapparal) didn’t particularly enjoy the conditions, but is clearly a horse to keep an eye on.

Another graduate FLAMING SPEAR (Lope De Vega) consigned by Pier House Stud was filmed as a yearling at Book 1 in 2013, came into day 3 as the Ben Burgess Handicap 4/1 favourite for trainer Kevin Ryan. He ran very well and was only beaten a short distance by the pocket rocket ACCESSION who seems to back to his best according to upcoming trainer Charlie Fellowes.
